Mileage/ age related faults can be unpredictable but again preventative maintenance will lessen the chances of big bills. A healthy bank balance does help.
Hi Neil, Welcome to the forum. Some fault codes can suggest that the pump is not giving the correct pressure when in fact the leaky injectors are the real cause. You really should read you own codes. Buy F-Super interface (about £20 on eBay). You will need a laptop or pc that you can use beside your car though. Peter.
I would like to consult you about my car, Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 2010 year, due to the reason that it doesn’t work normal after regular service made in the authorized Ford service. Regular service is made at 120.000 km. for a changing of ribbed, wedge belt, oil and all filters.
Good evening, I'm new here and my name is Andrzej. I would like to ask about buying a Ford Mondeo MK5 from 2015 year. Manual gearbox, 2.0 TDCi 180ps. I can buy this car on low price because of very high mileage approx. 320000 km. Car is serviced all the time. It doesn't had any accident before. D
The DMF wont be draining the battery, i maybe putting extra strain on the starter which. may require more power to spin it up. But wont drain the battery. A clutch and DMF should cost about £600 -£800 on average. My sister went to Ford. and it cost her £1200. See more. MK4.5 TDCI 140 Business Estate. .
. Possible causes : An electrical fault in the Turbocharger control circuit. MAP sensor electrical failure. Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc. If the code is set at idle renew the turbocharger. If the code is not set at idle investigate faults with the MAP. ===END PCM DTC P2263:72-64===.
Cleared the fault codes rail pressure is now spot on but up came the fault - cam position sensor - circuit malfunction. So I checked the pin data and measured the wires and found them to be wrong - pin one is 12v, (should be 5 volts). pin two is ground from ecu (correct) and pin 3 is 5 volts, (should be switched between 0 - 5 v).
Codes suggest problems with fuel regulator (high/low pressure issue). The only reasonable explanation to the fuel issue would be either summer fuel used at low temperatures causing paraffin to form or some sort of crap in the fuel or tank that clogged the pump. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk.
A faulty Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI engine can cause several different issues, including decreased power, poor fuel economy, and engine vibration. In extreme cases, engine failure may occur. While some engine problems can be repaired relatively easily, others may require more extensive work.
Bought Ford F-Super comes up with fault P0235 so replaced the map sensor on the lower egr pipe with genuine ford one still no change Had the turbo checked out no play in it and air is flowing through all pipes are boosting theres no blockages in any pipes or the intercooler atall
